The facility in Geneva, IL is seeking production associates to fill multiple utility

1 year of manufacturing experience required.  Machine operator experience required.


Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. 


This is not a temperature controlled environment subject to seasonal weather conditions of heat and cold.


This position is for 3rd shift.  Shift times are 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM – or – 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.  If overtime is required you may be asked to come in early or stay late depending on production demands or staffing shortages.  Saturdays and Sundays are included as overtime options


Description - External

Process batteries down the shipping line, hi-rate testing, decorating to customer specifications, and palletizing for stock or customer order.


·         Prepare battery to be placed on conveyor

·         Advance batteries into automatic pressure tester

·         Maintain product flow to complete process meeting production goals

·         Polish posts using pneumatic tools with wire brush attachment

·         Process batteries through OCV machine for testing

·         Operate hot stamp machine applying hot stamp decals and labels per specifications

·         Ensure accuracy of placement of decals and labels

·         Assemble poly rope and strap handles on batteries

·         Maintain supply of cartons, bags, handles, post protectors, and miscellaneous supplies at the line

·         Stamp cartons with type numbers and date codes and assemble with batteries

·         Palletize product using correct packing materials per specifications

·         Create required customer pallet tags and cards

·         Operate hydraulic lift tables and haul completed pallet to stock area

·         Stretch wrap and band pallets for shipment

·         Maintain accurate production counts by customer, quantity, and type

·         Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator)

·         May perform other functions that may be added within the available time as shown by actual time studies directed by supervision

·         Cleans machines and area at end of shift

·         Responsible for keeping workplace clean and orderly


Qualifications – External


·         High School Diploma or Equivalency required

·         Verification of education diploma or certificate required

·         Must be able to work all shifts up to 12 hours including weekends, as overtime may be required

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Basic computer skills required

·         Ability to read and understand all production specifications required

·         Ability to neatly and accurately record required data

·         Fork lift or material handling experience preferred

·         Warehouse or Manufacturing experience preferred

·         Inventory experience preferred

·         Machine troubleshooting or repair experience preferred


Successful Production Associates must be willing to learn new things and work in a team environment to get the product out in a safe and timely manner, while meeting quality standards.
