Shipping Manager

Full time Shipping Manager needed to join Checon's innovative team to manage day-to-day activities of coordinating shipment of company product to domestic and international customers.

The successful candidate will be able to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment.  They will be responsible for supervising and managing assigned personnel in our Finishing/Shipping Dept. to include interviewing, counseling, disciplining, appraising performance and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.  Tasks include inspecting shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

Knowledge of international shipping procedures are essential to this position.  Good verbal communication skills with our Sales/Customer Service Dept. a must. Candidate bilingual in Spanish a plus.
