Shipping / Receiving Operator
Summary of Position
Receive all incoming shipments of raw material and finished goods returned to the plant.
Picks, packs, labels and ships all customer shipments following domestic and international regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Must be knowledgeable in SAP/LOGOS shipping procedures including the movement of inventories.
Must be able to perform put-away transactions of raw materials or finished goods in SAP/LOGOS to keep inventory accurate.
Clearly communicate with planners, customer service representatives, and schedulers to ensure a timely shipment of all orders to customers.
Finalizes paperwork to move and/or accompany receivables or shipments completely and accurately to avoid penalties/fines, i.e., inland bills of lading, pack slips, hazardous declaration forms.
Participates in the cycle count program, and assists in preparing and taking of physical inventories.
Picks, packs load, unloads all orders in accordance with specific instructions.
Complies with International picking and shelf life requirements.
Calculates weights of pallets loaded and unloaded to minimize shortages of raw materials received or finished goods shipped.
Ensure all export shipments have proper documentation such as commercial invoice, performa invoice and shipper's letter of instructions.
Maintain work area in a neat, organized and clean manner at all times. Must follow 5S standard of housekeeping.
Must comply with all rules and regulations for the shipment of Hazardous Materials in accordance with Henkel policy.
Performs various other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of SAP/LOGOS/scanner applications.
Calculate simple math.
Work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Walk/Stand approximately 90% of the time.
Drive high lift truck - including use of steps and sitting during operation.
Must be able to control hand-levers on both sides and use control pedals.
Must be able to lift/carry/pour 50lbs frequently, including going up steps.
Will be working in the presence of environmental conditions such as fumes, dust, heights, chemicals, odors and noise.
Must be a self-starter, who requires little direct supervision.
Must successfully complete Henkel forklift certification training.
Must successfully complete Henkel certification training course in DOT.
