Mikron, an industry-leading vinyl extrusion company located in Kent, Washington is seeking a logistics supervisor.  This position, on the cutting edge of new product development, reports directly to the logistics manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors Degree, preferred and more than 5 years of demonstrated excellence within the logistics arena.  At least 3 of those years supervising at a department level with a history of progressive performance excellence.  Lean experience required. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of DOT requirements and should be proficient in Microsoft office products and ERP systems, (SAP preferred).  CDL preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Familiarity with the fenestration industry is helpful.

THE POSITION: 

Success will be measured by the ability to:

·         Develop, coordinate and maintain the schedule of department activity.

·         Develop project work plan/schedule.

·         Check the work of others on a regular basis.

·         Resolve personnel and department problems.

·         Enter data into a computer system.

·         Continuously discuss employee performance and development.

·         Add, delete, modify and print using the computer systems in place.

·         Print out forms, reports or paperwork.

·         Distribute forms, reports or information.

·         Pull trucks and flatbeds around for loading.

·         Set department priorities and assign work to employees.

·         Perform physical inventory.
