Six Sigma Black Belt - Custo. Proc. Improv.

Requiring significant experience and expertise, acts as a subject area expert in six sigma process improvement initiatives. Develops and maintains six sigma and other process improvement expertise and advises management, businesses and relevant third parties. Partners with appropriate parties to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and/or control. Acts as liaison to others within the firm regarding Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives. Generally reports to Managing Director or Director.Primarily focuses on day-to-day process improvement operational project execution.Develops and contributes to strategic planning related to process improvement and other areas of expertise.Acts as internal consultant regarding multi-disciplinary projects and partners with appropriate senior parties to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and/or control.Maintains regular contact among peers within the firm and externally including six sigma experts and professional organizations.Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, operating environment changes, and firm or business unit strategy.Oversees and manages significant projects on a firm-wide scale which will affect multiple operational, development, infrastructure and/or business areas.Initiates and acts as agent for strategic change management including process re-engineering and establishment of control procedures to improve operational efficiency.Properly uses and promotes the use of the tools and methods of six sigma, including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), Process Management, Lean and Project Selection.Mentors six sigma Green Belts and less experienced Black Belts during the execution of six sigma projects.Develops process improvement project and business plans.Prepares and leads six sigma toll gate presentations providing status to interested parties regarding six sigma projects.Oversees the follow up activities upon the completion of six sigma project plans.Establishes and ensures compliance with policies and procedures for activities within their group.Evaluates current methods and strategies, and implements changes and improvements.Manages and fosters implementation of HR policies, procedures, practices and the Maximizing Associate Potential Strategy (MAPS) framework.To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Advanced degree in business or related discipline and with eight to ten years work experience in process improvement, process reengineering and six sigma methodology. At least four years mentoring, managing and/or directing process improvement and project management teams, or a combination in education and work experience. Six sigma black belt certification a must.Exhibited core and job specific competencies identified as appropriate at the minimum corporate level of Vice President.Significant functional and industry experience and expertiseAbility to act as subject area expert in process improvement with multiple specific skill sets, business areas or products.Knowledge of securities industry and/or related financial services experience.In depth knowledge of six sigma tools and methods including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), Process Management, Lean and Project Selection.Strong knowledge of client area s functions, processes and initiatives.Strong leadership skills.Excellent decision making, problem solving, influencing and analytical skills.Excellent consulting skills.Strong written and verbal communications and platform presentation skills.Fosters and nurtures effective relationships with clients and others. Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management/staffs.Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
