Position Description:
Accountability Objective:
Responsible for completing major projects and key initiatives linked to the strategic plan through the use of the Six Sigma process improvement methodology.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. The BB Practitioner is responsible for supporting initiatives to achieve its operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction goals.
2. Demonstrated competency in Process Engineering, Project Management and People Change Management, Lean and Six Sigma are a requirement for the successful fulfillment of this position.
3. The successful incumbent will be able to lead multiple projects of a large/complex nature, and represent Manufacturing on external projects.
4. The expectation is that the successful incumbent will be able to guide and mentor members of the Facility in Process Engineering, Project Management and People Change Management methodologies. As part of the site Leadership Team, the BB Practitioner will participate in identifying potential projects that support business plans.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
This position requires a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the discipline that might normally be acquired through a BS Degree, or the equivalent training and experience. The position requires 5-8 years of progressive experience, including work equivalent to that of a Level II or Level III Engineer. The position further requires Certification as a Six Sigma black belt and experience leading teams/groups as well as managing projects. Communications and behavior modification skills are necessary.
Alternatively, an advanced degree and considerable experience is desirable. Experience as a trainer or adult educator, along with the ability to develop and administer training curricula and materials would be a strong asset. A cross-functional background in manufacturing operations, management, engineering, technical support, and/or quality would also be an asset.
