Principal Responsibilities

  • Research and obtain information regarding the locations of debtors through the use of the Internet (Lexis Nexus, Black Book, etc.), credit bureau reports, loan applications, previous Collector comments, and all other resources available.

  • Ensure all skip trace efforts are performed in a timely manner.

  • Communicate and interact with third-party agencies, peer Collectors, and management to maximize skip trace efforts.

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate information in the system and follow up with any updates.

  • Conduct periodic review of payers to verify receipt of claims submitted electronically.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with NCO policies and procedures.

  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.

  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


 


  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

  • Previous billing or skip tracing experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of collection-related activities, skip tracing, and Internet search.

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.

  • Ability to work in multi-tasked environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
