- Under the direction of the Div SVP, Marketing, Digital Media, this position is mainly tasked with developing our digital audience and generating traffic to our digital properties. This position needs to lead and implement a digital media strategy that includes social media, digital content distribution, and blogger outreach. As such, the candidate needs to be a digital media pro, and know how to optimize traffic by leveraging new media and content. Additionally, the candidate needs to be willing to “get their hands dirty” in the executional details. In order to be successful in this role, this person must be adept at interfacing with several outside departments, including public relations, advertising sales, upsell marketing, creative design, editorial and technology. Therefore, strong leadership traits and the ability to lead diverse groups of people (even those who do not report directly to this person) toward a common goal are critical.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Further develop and execute Playboy’s social media strategy, including:
-Central resource for the company and provide full corporate-wide support
-Vendor management
-Posting on social media sites to drive engagement
- Develop and execute a content distribution strategy to increase awareness of Playboy.com, and to drive traffic back to our site.
- Create and execute a solid blogger and webmaster outreach program in order to drive traffic to Playboy.com
- Develop and execute link exchange programs.
- Use the web analytic tools to analyze and report on the results of these efforts.
