Description:

Social Web UX Designer

As the UX Designer, you will work directly with Managers and Developers to create high-fidelity wireframes and visual comps, and assist in implementing these designs in accordance with usability best practices. This team works on a social web application that will connect you with the people and places you care about most, when it matters most.

In this role you will:

  • Balance business requirements with user goals to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements.
  • Develop and update detailed, high-fidelity wireframes and mockups to effectively communicate complex work-flow designs to the development team.
  • Present design work to the product team for review and feedback, and work collaboratively with Developers for the implementation of designs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design patterns.

This is an estimated 6-12 month contract position through Volt Technical & Creative Communication - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Bothell, Washington. Requirements:

Required Skills for this Social Web UX Designer position includes the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar.
  • Ability to prototype in HTML and CSS.
  • Possess exceptional visual and user interface design skills, as well as an understanding of user-centered design principals.
  • Have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay highly organized are critical.
  • Flourish in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work closely with Project Managers, senior management stakeholders, and Developers. Experience working within a technical environment is a strong plus.
