Additional Duties (may include):

• Owning the testing for a feature area in new version of an embedded product.
  
• Reviewing specs and other documentation associated with this feature area.
  
• Creating or expanding on test cases to test this feature area.
  
• Writing solid, clear bugs in Product Studio.
  
• Communicating closely with the rest of the team (Dev, Test and PM) as to the state of their feature area and raising potential blocking issues early.
  
• Gaining an understanding of Embedded OS customers, their issues and concerns and applying this information to their test cases.

Requirements:

Software Design Engineer in Test Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C# development experience is required.
  
• 2-3 or more years of work related experience required, preferably with some experience using Windows OS internals.
  
• Experience using Product Studio.
  
• Knowledge of software testing standards, methods, conventions and the product development cycle is required.
  
• Experience gained by working at the Software Giant in Redmond, Washington or one of its other locations is required.
  
• Great communication skills as well as a drive for independence.

Bonus Skills - (Great extra skills to have for this position, let us know!):

• Knowledge of Windows Installer XML (WIX).
  
• Knowledge of WTT.
  
• Experience working with Windows.
  
• C++/Java coding experience.
  
• WIN32/MFC/COM experience.
  
• MCAD and MCSD certification.
  
• Knowledge of XML.
