Bihrle’s software development team is looking for an enthusiastic C/C++ programmer who will be responsible for implementing new features in existing commercial applications, contributing to client projects, and developing complex applications from the ground up. Key Qualifications:

Self-motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Quick learner who can deliver results with minimal supervision

Proven ability to excel within a fast-paced development team

Ability to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities

Understanding of analytic geometry and linear algebra

Experience with matrix operations, vectors, and coordinate transformations

Object-oriented analysis and design experience

Good sense of UI design and user-oriented focus

Experience with cross-platform (Windows, Linux, MacOS, mobile) development

Experience with cross-platform frameworks and tools

Proven bug detection and regression skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ALM tools (Teamforge) and code repositories (Subversion)

Experience with Agile development

Experience in real-time software development

Experience with MATLAB and Simulink

Experience with cross-platform C++ libraries (e.g., juce, boost, etc.)

Experience with Python, Qt and associated rapid application development technologies

Experience with 3D graphics technologies (e.g., 3dsMax, OpenGL, others)

Experience with virtual reality image generators (e.g., Prepar3D, others)

Experience with GIS data and tools, map toolkits (e.g., Google Earth, STK)


Description:

In this role, you will be part of the small, yet adept product development team where you will be enhancing Bihrle’s existing commercial software products (DSix, SimGen, CompARE, CGFlight) and creating new, innovative software applications for UAV operations and flight simulation. We are keenly interested in someone who can leverage open-source and 3rd party commerical cross-platform tools, code libraries and frameworks to migrate legacy, Windows-based applications to modern, cross-platform applications that use modern technologies and provide a fresh and intuitive user experience.

This position requires working closely with the engineering team and other software developers to code, integrate and test software components. The best candidate will be able to juggle many tasks while still maintaining progress and be able to quickly assess problems and recommend “good-better-best” approaches. You will be involved in all aspects of software development, including definition of requirements and use cases, application and user interface design, code development, integration and testing. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual that combines deep technical knowledge with strong collaboration and excellent communication skills. Strong math skills are also required.
