Software Developer
Application Developer
Person needed to create new and modify existing web and windows forms applications.
· Daily use of SQL Management Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2005
· Retail chain experience preferred, C-Store chain experience preferred
· 40 hours a week minimum
· On-site only.
Duties
· Coordinate with company personnel (10% of the time)
o Advise group (end user) managers
o Advise project manager
o Help scope new projects
o Documentation and communication with project members
· Web Development ASP (20% of the time)
o Modify existing ASP web applications
· Web Development VB.Net 2.0 or later (20% of the time)
o Develop new code
o Convert existing ASP applications to ASP.NET 2.0
· Windows Forms Development VB.Net 2.0 or later (15% of the time)
o Develop new code
o Modify existing code
· Process development (20% of the time)
o SQL development
o Data import processes
o File management and manipulation
· Support (15% of the time)
o Troubleshooting
o Support existing applications
o Documentation and communication with field personnel and operations managers
Skills
· 2+ years T-SQL. Experience with SQL Server 2000 or later required. Must know how to generate stored procedures. Must know how to generate CRUD statements. Must know how to optimize tables and indexes for both data insertion and for reporting.
· 1+ years ASP experience required. Must have experience building forms and applications using ASP. Must have experience integrating with SQL database. Must have understanding of JavaScript.
· 2+ years ASP.NET 2.0 and Windows Forms Development experience required.
· Experience with Regular Expressions, XML, Ektron controlset, Telerik controlset, AJAX, provider model, http modules, and/or http handlers a plus.
· Must have good communication skills. Project scoping and documentation experience is required.
