Title: Software Developer

Cross MediaWorks, a diversified media corporation is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our software development team in either our Philadelphia or Phoenix location.

The person selected for this position must possess excellent software and database development skills including a functional understanding of object-relational mapping and inter-process communication. His or her primary responsibility will be to develop modules, primarily data access and delivery services, for new and existing business applications in a Windows/SQL Server environment using C# and the .NET Framework. Knowledge of broadcast or cable television Ad Sales or Traffic & Billing systems is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years experience developing tiered business applications using .NET, C# and SQL Server.


• 3-5 years experience developing data driven applications including experience with relational databases and SQL principles. SQL Server 2005 experience is required. FoxPro experience is a plus.


• Commercial experience with as it applies to database access—ADO.NET/LINQ/Entity Framework.


• Commercial experience with .NET Framework 3.5 as it applies to inter-process communication—Remoting/WCF/Web Services.


• Experience writing and optimizing SQL statements, stored procedures and UDFs in T-SQL.


• Experience implementing data access and object-relational mapping layers as Web Services.


• Experience with XML technologies.


• Understanding of Microsoft web servers, application servers, database servers, communication protocols, and other elements of a distributed infrastructure.


• Excellent oral and written communications skills and a strong customer service ethic


• Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field).


• Experience with Team Foundation Server desired.
