Summary:

This position will work as part of a project team to provide architectural, implementation and operational design support for a broad range of database and software applications. Incumbent has a broad knowledge of one or more of the following areas: database solutions and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. Incumbents in this position must have working experience using object oriented programming languages including Java, C++, ect. Incumbents in this position support planning, development, and implementation of assigned projects based on knowledge in these areas.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate as part of a project team in designing, developing and implementing database and software applications for the business.
• Participate in developing guidelines and procedures for database solutions and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions.
• Manage small to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects and assist in resolving issues and planning for new applications and services.
• Monitor and report to management on program status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
• Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 + years of experience in database logical design, software development and project implementation.
• Software Engineering Analytical Skills a plus.
• Product Lifecycle Management software experience desired.
• Configuration Management methodology and implementation experience desired.
• Thorough understanding of one or more operating environments (LINUX, UNIX, Windows NT, etc.)
• Broad technical knowledge of one or more of the following: database solutions and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills - must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation.
• Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
