Sr. Driller’s Display System (DDS) Software Developer position

Are you a Sr. Developer with at least 5 years application development and systems engineering with strong experience on a MS Windows platform?  Are you knowledgeable of DCOM and OPC, databases, near real time data acquisition and monitoring systems, applications and PLCs in the industrial and oil field industry?  If you answered Yes then this could be just the opportunity you have been waiting for!

Currently, we are seeking a Sr. Developer that is skilled in developing applications in an MS Windows client server environment. Selected individual must be able to develop applications in (MFC/WinForms), .Net 2.0/3.5, COM/ DCOM, WCF, C++, C#, Linq to SQL, and MS SQL database.  Additionally selected individual should be knowledgeable of OPC DA/HDA/UA/AE, TCP/IP, near-real time data acquisition and monitoring systems Other desirable skills would include applications design and development, instrumentation, WITSML protocols, PLCs, SCADA systems, Industrial Ethernet networking. Clear in verbal communication and writing.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Maybe required to travel internationally for testing, support, and users training. A valid passport is required.


• Design, implement and deploy OPC extension to our existing Driller’ Display Systems as per operations requirements. Handle all aspects of software and hardware upgrades; definition, implementation, development, deployment, documentation and initial support.

DUTIES:

• Design, develop, test and deploy OPC extension to the DDS software application modules II


• Test and validate OPC extension to systems as per rig requirements II


• Provide initial support, and follow up all issues through resolution III


• Develop and maintain training and standard system documentation II


• Maintain communication with system users, project and integrator teams as required to carry out the functions of this position III


• Ensure company standards (particularly IT and Engineering) are followed in carrying out the functions of this position II

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science. Training in Microsoft Windows application development.
