Software Development Analyst 4


Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking Object Oriented Software Development Analyst 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Beavercreek, Ohio.

The Northrop Grumman office in Beavercreek, OH, has responsibility for analysis, design, development, test, integration, and maintenance of the Air Force’s Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS) under a contract to the Air Force Materiel Command.


REMIS operates in an architectural environment which is geographically separated.  REMIS resides on four disparate hardware platforms; Hewlett Packard (HP) NonStop mainframes, Linux, Solaris and Windows mid-tiers.  The (HP) NonStop portion of REMIS is comprised of SCOBOL and COBOL with SQL/MP relational database.  The mid-tier portion of REMIS is comprised of an IBM WebSphere Application with presentation using JSP and Struts technology and the business logic employing a mix of C++ and Java EE code.  Persistent data resides in an Oracle database.

Basic Qualifications:

·                     9 years with Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of Java; 14 years of experience without a degree

·                     7 years with Master's and 3 years of Java

·                     4 years with PhD and 2 years of Java




·                     Experience developing highly complex applications with Java, JSPs and Java EE

·                     Experience with Relational Database Management Systems or SQL 

·                     Solid ability to test your own code as well as code developed by others 

·                     Employee will be required to apply for a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check (NACLC) and obtain clearance for Information Technology category IT-II.

·                     Must obtain a Security+ or equivalent certification within six months of starting work in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program

Preferred Qualifications:


·                     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field

·                     Rational Software Architect (RSA)

·                     WebSphere Application Server

·                     WebSphere MQ

·                     ClearCase

·                     Windows, Solaris and LINUX operating environments

·                     Distributed processing and design patterns

·                     Struts
