Embedded Software Development Engineer

Job Description:

Embedded Software Development Engineers needed with an automotive background:

Technisource is currently recruiting the best possible candidates for an exciting direct-hire career opportunity with a highly-esteemed automotive technology company in West Michigan.  To summarize the requirements, an embedded software engineer with the design, coding, and testing experience (C/C++) necessary to produce automotive software from detailed requirements is needed to help develop new products in conjunction with a stable and highly-successful automotive technology company in West Michigan. The candidate must have embedded RTOS (real-time operating system) development experience.  We welcome applicants with automotive, avionics, medical device, and consumer electronics/appliance backgrounds. 

Basic Job Requirements:

- 3+ years of embedded design, code, and test experience (C/C++)
- Expert understanding of real-time multi-threading RTOS concepts
    -Re-entrancy
    -Race conditions
    -Etc.
- CMMI
- SPICE
- Very strong appreciation for good development practices
    - Understanding of modularity and code re-use
    - Ability to participate in code reviews
    - Desire to collaborate in the development process
- CAN bus knowledge
- Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and other agile practices
- DSP (digital signal processor) experience
- Outstanding educational qualities
    - Relevant 4-year degree from an accredited university
        - Electrical Engineering
        - Computer Engineering
        - Computer Science
        - Other related discipline
    - Minimum 3.0 GPA in both college and high school, regardless of experience
    - Desire to keep up with new technologies and continuously advance personal knowledge
- Automotive software development experience preferred (not explicitly required)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
