As part of the team, you will work closely with product managers, technical leads and the user experience team focusing on creating exceptional user experiences for Audible.com and its integration with other Amazon services. The ideal candidate will be an expert with JavaScript and AJAX, CSS, XHTML and related Java web technologies.

Qualifications:

• Passion for developing graphical interfaces that provide a great customer experience
• 4 years of web-based software development experience
• 3 years of core Java development with related JSP and MVC experience
• 2 years of experience with JavaScript/AJAX
• Expert XHTML/CSS for cross-browser rendering
• Deep understanding and experience developing high-performance web interfaces
• Solid understanding of web security in front-end development
• Excellent object oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD)
• Experience working with relational databases and ORM frameworks(Hibernate)
• Proficiency in other languages (e.g. C++, Perl, Ruby, et al) a plus
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring, Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
• Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methodologies and Accessibility
• Analytical with the desire to measure the effectiveness of new features
• Extraordinary attention to detail and a passion for solving complex and interesting problems
• Prior experience with ecommerce application development is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
