The Challenge:
The Software Development Engineering Tester (SDET)/ QA Engineer is responsible for the design, test planning and automated / performance test execution around custom backend software applications. This hands-on position requires broad engineering competence and in-depth technical knowledge of web service and data storage software development.
The Task:
* Work with software engineering team to design testable service components * Write test plans for backend service software * Write unit, integration and performance tests for data-centric applications and web services * Develop, manage and maintain quality metrics and reporting for management team
Required Skills: Required Qualifications:
* At least 2 years experience in automated testing and software development (the ability to write code that tests code) * Solid Java/JUnit or .NET/NUnit experience. You have demonstrable skills in building JUnit and/or NUnit tests. * Experience testing service oriented architecture (SOA) and databases * Experience designing and running web stress and load tests * Strong QA skills: planning, bug isolation, bug report writing, and troubleshooting. * Ability to automate complex test cases. * BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
