Software Development Manager (Linux Shared Hosting)

What does the job entail

·         Take a hands-on leadership role in the design, development, and maintenance of new and existing products

·         Lead team developing applications that support Go Daddy Hosting products

·         Perform standard managerial tasks including: day-to-day management, project management, intergroup communication, quarterly and annual performance reviews, MBO planning and assessments

·         Must be able to work independently to: Gather and synthesize project requirements, Develop project implementation plans, Guide projects through the full development life cycle, and Overcome obstacles while delivering high-quality results on schedule

What do you need to do this job?

·         BS/MS in computer science, MIS, or equivalent

·         5+ years experience in software development teams

·         2+ years experience in a software development management and leadership role, ideally a software development manager

·         Proficiency with PHP and/or Java

·         Proficiency in Linux environments

·         Solid understanding of Agile processes

·         Proven ability to understand complex distributed systems

·         Capacity to motivate and lead a team of software developers

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow-up

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Good people management and interpersonal skills

·         Capable of interacting on an ad-hoc basis with other departments to achieve project goals
