Job Purpose:

MedAssets is seeking a well-rounded .NET developer in its Plano, TX office. You will work with WPF, and XBAP technology on the client side, and you will also work on the server side, building on a high performance, scalable, distributed system built on .NET and SQL Server. You will be challenged to bridge the conceptual gap between OO design principles and relational databases, with the support and cooperation of a fully-empowered product delivery team in a Scrum-based environment.

Internal Responsibilities:

• Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.


• Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.


• Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.


• Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.

Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications:

• Expert in OOP (minimum 5 yrs experience in C#, Java, or other OO language)


• Proficient in C#, .NET (minimum 2 yrs experience)


• Write SQL queries


• Experience designing user interfaces


• Demonstrate solid understanding of OO design principles


• Recognize where to apply common design patterns


• Excellent research, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Track record as a cohesive team member


• Ability to work independently


• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent

Desired Skills:

• User interface design with WPF


• Expert at writing and tuning SQL queries


• Relational schema design experience


• Used Nunit or similar tools to write unit tests


• Knowledge of healthcare industry
