EDUCATION

 

BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

The candidate should have 3+ years minimum experience as a C/C++ software engineer on embedded systems.  Experience programming with the Linux OS as well as good understanding of real-time operating system concepts is required.

Other requirements include:

·         Self-starter, detail oriented, with drive to focus and deliver results quickly.

·         Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills.

·         Additionally, the following skills are considered a plus

·         Understanding of network protocol operations (Ethernet, TCP/IP, multicast IP, IGMP, etc.)

·         Knowledge of satellite video distribution systems and digital video technologies

·         Knowledge of Flash and Java programming

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Develop software in C, C++, Flash or Java for advanced set top box products

·         Generate design documentation for all software modules developed

·         Solve integration and field issues during the integration and deployment phases of the project

·         Provide general product development support as part of a cross functional team
