Software Engineer / Architect

Securboration, Inc., a small research firm engaged in leading-edge DoD research and development, is currently seeking an experienced software engineer/hands-on project manager for an assignment located at Warner Robins Air Force Base (WRAFB) in Georgia. The position is currently a 1-year assignment with excellent prospects for long-term permanent employment. The candidate will be responsible for oversight and development of an initial Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform guided by definition of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) for a WRAFB command.

Responsibilities:

·         Use a combination of existing and developing technologies to solve real-world problems

·         Lead small software development teams on multiple concurrent programs

·         Perform full lifecycle software engineering, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and testing, including associated documentation

·         Define the SOA platform for the initial phases of this demonstration effort

·         Maintain status of the overall effort from a localized perspective

·         Ensure architecture and oversight of service-based initiatives (demonstration platforms) 

Required Qualifications:

·         5+ years of relevant experience in a scientific or engineering software development environment

·         Experience with J2EE, JEE5 or .NET

·         Web services development experience

·         Demonstrated proficiency in Java, C# or C++

·         Application server development experience

·         Demonstrated leadership skills

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline

·         Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

·         U.S. citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

·         Experience with Semantic Modeling and/or Ontology

·         Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

·         Software development or implementation experience with .NET platforms a plus
