Software Engineer - Authentication

Job Title: Java Developer (Kerberos)

Description: System Authentication Architect

The organization is looking for a software engineer who will design system authentication required in the next generation of our client’s products and services.  This will likely be based on Kerberos technologies and will also require the candidate to develop API’s that enable other software components to utilize the system authentication implementation.

Experience and knowledge

· Three or more years in the development of external customer products

· Experience working the entire product development lifecycle from definition through support

Skills

· Software development and de-bugging

· Excellent verbal and written communications (English)

· Project management skills

· Analytic ability in order to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions

· Demonstrated ability to establish clear goals and formulate plans to achieve them

· Self-motivation and flexibility

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience and Knowledge

· In depth knowledge of authentication technologies, including Kerberos

· Experience in the design, implementation and deployment of Kerberos based systems

· Experience with developing applications that use the Generic Security Services API (GSSAPI) and Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) technologies

· Strong Java development skills

· Experience developing highly available, client server applications
