Honeywell's Advanced Technology Laboratory is looking for an experienced software engineer to lead the development of research and applied engineering programs related to biometrics, video surveillance applications. A successful candidate will design and implement software solutions that integrate software tools/libraries, interfaces to hardware components and advanced prototyping of algorithms. These solutions are implemented primarily on Microsoft Windows using C/C++, C# and Java.
As software Engineer, you will create production-quality software which interfaces with hardware components, including cameras and other biometric devices. Successful candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding, and a track record on General Purpose computation on Graphic Processing Units (GPU).
This position requires the application of solid software engineering practices, including the use of version control software, bug-tracking, testing, and documentation.
Position requirements:
-Strong analytical capability to design and develop complex systems.
-Proven development experience with C/C++, C#, MATLAB and Java.
-Excellent understanding of signal processing techniques.
-Track record on implementing signal processing functionalities on GPU.
-Expertise in developing functional and technical designs and deploying multiplatform solutions.
-Very strong written and oral communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal, organizational and teaming skills.
As software programmer, you have knowledge of biometrics, video surveillance, and computer vision. Other highly preferred skills include:
-Python coding expertise.
-Experience with database systems, especially Oracle.
-Experience with J2EE, especially WebLogic.
-Experience integrating software and hardware solutions.
-Experience with Subversion and Redmine.
Basic Qualifications:
+ MS in Computer Science or related field.
+ 5 years of software develoment experience.
+ Current possession of or ability to obtain US government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Strong analytical capability to design and develop complex systems.
-Proven development experience with C/C++, C#, MATLAB and Java.
-Excellent understanding of signal processing techniques.
-Track record on implementing signal processing functionalities on GPU.
