Responsibilities

As a G2 Software Engineer, you will be tasked to jump in feet first and colloborate on the innovative solutions our staff are currently working on today. The solutions are wide ranging:

• Are you interested in working on data injest solutions that deal with data which flows faster & greater than Niagra Falls?
• Would you rather work on rapid development and prototyping for large-scale or streaming data analytics?
• Or maybe you prefer to apply your intense focus on new technologies to identify there vulnerabilities and thus devise advance remediation procedures that protect our Federal government from Cyber attacks.

If you're passionate about technology and Cyber security solutions, you will find like minded Engineers at G2 who are eager to have you join them in the fight to secure our nation. If you have any combination of the below skills, we are eager to talk to you about the opportunities available for you at G2.

Required:

• G2 Desired Characteristics: Creativity, Curiousity, Humility, Adaptability, Integrity, Teamwork, Drive
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl
• Knowledge of SQL (Oracle, MySQL) and Cloud (Accumulo) database systems 
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies

Desired:

• DoDAF or IdAM experience
• MapReduce or Hadoop

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent field of study
