Our National Security Global Business is currently seeking a Software Engineer. This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.
Our Electronics, Sensors, and Information Systems (ESIS) Product Line specializes in the design, development, test, and production of complex electronics and information systems.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Windows based software design, development, and implementation including real-time control software and networks for electronic systems
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and extending software written by others
- Interaction with marketing staff to understand customer problems and formulate long term strategies to solve those problems
- Participation in business development activities including proposal writing
- Documenting work as well as following and enforcing software configuration management and quality assurance requirements
Occasional domestic and international travel is expected.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- A bachelors degree (BS) in CIS, EE, or related discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Four or more years work experience in software development teams applying C# .NET using standard software development practices to include quality assurance, testing, documentation, configuration management, and deployment
- Knowledge of applicable network protocols and architectures and their relation to each other, including physical networking mechanisms such as copper-based electronic, optical, and wireless
- Understanding of current and emerging networking technologies including IP, TCP/UDP, data link, CDMA / TDMA, token ring, QOS, etc and their application
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to operate independently and/or lead teams.
- Immediately eligible to receive an active DoD Secret clearance
Sole US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are a condition of employment
