We are currently seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a dynamic team with great potential for growth and success. The Software Engineer will work as a Team Member in the coordination center for 2d BN operations, planning, and information gathering, to include real-world actions and laboratory cyber exercises; will Provide support to the deployment of mitigation efforts in response to computer security incidents at Army posts, camps, and stations around the world; will support the development and maintenance of current and future mitigation documentation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
* include working as a member of the Army's 1st Information Operation Command’s 2d BN Team to support the detection, monitoring, analysis, and mitigation of organized cyber threats against Army computer networks.
* build up programs and solutions to support malware analysis, evaluate weak points in anonymous or malicious software, analyze various pieces of software, such as a tool demonstrated at a Security conference, thus, able to scrutinize a piece of software to validate whether it could be potentially used on or against Army networks.
* Design software tools that can be used in a Computer Network Defense-Response Action capacity.
* real-world experience conducting testing and evaluation of hacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).
* Perform research activities to identify vulnerabilities and exploits based on 0-day developments.
* Implement damage assessments reviews of prospective interference with Army Automated Information Systems infrastructure, and recommends, develops, and applies appropriate countermeasures.
* Assist with developing software and hardware mitigation strategies to protect against future and emerging threats.
* Script writing for both Windows and UNIX/LINUX environments are also a plus.
* Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of existing applications as well as development of new applications. Design and provide maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for computer networks within the TaskForce environment.
Required Qualifications:
* Typically the ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 9 years of experience in lieu of education credentials.
