This position requires a self-motivated, self-directed software engineer for biotechnology products. This person will develop software for new and existing imaging instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
Projects may include:
• GUI
• Business logic
• Acquisition
• High/medium level instrument control
• Areas of development including: research, design, implementation, version control, alpha/beta testing, installation procedures and production release
• Troubleshoot and revise modules as required
Qualifications:
• B.S.C.S., B.S.E.E. or equivalent, postgraduate education will be a plus
• 5+ years minimum programming experience required
• Expertise with C/C+ + required
• Experience with multiple operating systems (e.g. Linux, MS Windows, UNIX) preferred
• Familiarity with Qt, Java, X-Windows, CVS preferred
• Experience with the development of user interfaces
• Background with code development in an FDA regulated environment preferred
• Familiarity with the development of graphics, and image processing modules
• A highly self-motivated and a solid team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
