SOFTWARE ENGINEER – BACKUP EXPRESS

Software Engineer responsibilities include:

• Telephone and email technical support with customers
• On-site problem resolution (typically 10% travel)
• Analyzing software systems problems and communicating solutions and workarounds, advice and suggestions
• Software debugging and fix creation (C, C++, Java)
• Designing and developing proprietary software, technologies & products on Windows and UNIX platforms
• Defining system requirements/specifications, design and code review packages
• Software change management

  Requirements:

 MS Comp Engineering, Comp Science or related field (3.4 GPA or higher); 2+ years work experience desirable.

 Experienced in:

·        Enterprise class data protection & other storage mgmt software

·        LANs/WANs, clusters, Storage area networks, SCSI interfaces, storage devices (disk, tape, filers, libraries, RAID)

·        Systems programming and support for: Windows, UNIX/Linux, Novell Netware and Novell Open Enterprise Server

·        Exchange, SQL Server, Oracle, Share Point, GroupWise, SAP, Lotus Notes
