Software Engineer Senior
Description:
HMI Developer for the Huntsville HMI Development Team of the Medium Extended Air Defense (MEADS) BMC4I. The Huntsville HMI Development Team is responsible for the design and development of the user interfaces associated with the Subsystems developed by the MEADS BMC4I Hsv Sub-IPT. The user interfaces include the Defense Planning, Battle Management, External Interfaces, IT-Security, and Personnel and Logistics software. The Candidate will also be responsible for participating in various reviews including Subsystem Requirements Reviews, Design Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews for the Plan Subsystems. Candidate will be required to interface and coordinate with international partners that are responsible for the user interfaces developed in Germany and Italy (these users interfaces include the Fighter and Training user interfaces).
Candidate must have demonstrated prior experience in user interface development. Prior experience with the Eclipse RCP framework is strongly desired. The candidate must also be familiar with software engineering practices using UML notation, the development of requirements, requirements allocation and traceability, analysis, design and implementation using OOA and OOD methodologies, and software integration and testing methodologies using UML and CASE Tools. A background in missile defense systems with a focus on Battle Management systems and software would be a plus. Some domestic and foreign travel might be required.

Qualifications:
Java programming knowledge is a must as well as knowledge of UML methodologies and notation. Previous experience in HMI/User Interface development and associate HMI software practices.
