Software Engineer- SharePoint

CGI is looking for a Software Engineer to join the internal IT group in our Fairfax, VA office. The primary purpose of the job is to provide advanced Microsoft SharePoint development and support. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and support SharePoint environments; in addition to maintaining security and data integrity. Work as part of a team and be responsible for keeping multiple SharePoint environments running. Provide consulting support and advice to, and coordinating with, business owners of SharePoint sites. Implement and enforce system, and data security measures, including resources and procedures for data redundancy and disaster recovery. Install new software releases, upgrades and evaluate and install patches that resolve software related problems. Produce performance, utilization, and capacity reporting.

Responsibilities:
•Perform highly advanced SharePoint activities - implementation and customization of SharePoint 2007/2003
•Manage Microsoft SharePoint and/or other web portal content.
•Use style sheets and implement/develop custom web parts and other programs that leverage the SharePoint object model
•Develop enterprise web applications using Microsoft .NET (C#)
•Perform other systems administration such as backups, server builds, OS troubleshooting among other activities.
•Create and document all actions, practices, procedures and processes.
•Perform constant enhancements in the areas of automation, security, efficiency.
•Deploy, maintain, and manage data backup and recovery using network and local backup systems.
•The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the operations and support related to the following IS-IT areas:
oMicrosoft SQL server
oMicrosoft AD in the enterprise
oMicrosoft Windows Server
oDR/COOP/BCP planning
