Software Engineer (Support) - Java Development/Enterprise Software Implemenation

ISCS seeks a Software Support Engineer to join some of the insurance industry's brightest minds in supporting an advanced Web-based property and casualty insurance automation software solution. You will be responsible for driving customer’s technical issues to resolution collaborating across the Professional Services teams and R&D.
ISCS has a 15-year history developing software solutions for the P&C insurance market. We also have a history of introducing new technologies to the insurance industry. We are a small company with a significantly market-relevant product in a strong industry poised to replace old technology, a secure revenue stream, and a quickly growing sales pipeline. Across the economy, many industries are struggling. Projects are on hold and layoffs are happening due to declining sales and overstretched finances. In insurance, however, demand remains strong. Everyone must keep cars and homes insured. Doctors and lawyers still require professional liability coverage, and businesses need their operations, products, building and professionals insured. More important, ISCS’s target customer’s business is growing. We have customers coming to us looking to further automate their business and expand into new markets and lines of business.
To support ISCS’s success, we need to expand our customer support team. The ideal candidate will be an engineer with experience in another software support team, has problem-solving/analytical skills and a positive, professional attitude. Overall responsibility
Support Engineers work with ISCS customers to investigate and resolve software implementation problems on ISCS software products, field and define requests for new functionality, and serve as liaisons between ISCS and customers. Candidates should be self-starters who enjoy being challenged and must be comfortable interacting with customer staff.
Note: This is not for system administrators or IT technical support specialists. Java development experience required.
