This position is a traveling position to U.S. Embassies worldwide. It is associated with the GITM Program Design Office. While at the post they will go through the exsisting infrastructure and identify what equipment would be needed to upgrade corporate servers, core switches, client switches.
Incumbents are responsible for creating upgraded network designs, completion of Bill of Materials(BOM) lists, and creation of design package supporting documentation. Continue to improve their technical expertise through the identification of new processes and technical alternatives to resolve problems and/or general improvements. Must interface and communicate efficiently and effectively with customers and other team members. Be familiar withWindows 2000/2003 servers/advanced servers, CISCO switches and routers, and various other types of peripheral equipment and software. MCSE 2000/2003 qualified a definite plus. Additionally, individual may be asked to provide technical solutions for other routine to complex network installations as required. Active Directory experience is a plus. Responsible for creating topology diagrams; experience with MS Visio a plus. An understanding of Active Directory, Domain and Exchange servers, DHCP, DNS, switches, routers, and other types of peripherals. Familiarity with FilesX/backup solutions and VM ware is a definite plus. Incumbent will travel up to 50% throughout the year.
Position Requirements:

-Be familiar with types, functionality and configuration of CISCO switches and routers.
-Active Directory experience.

-An understanding of Active Directory, Domain and Exchange servers, DHCP, DNS, switches, routers, and other types of peripherals.
-Familiarity with FilesX, VM ware
-Willingness to travel up to 50%

Must have a minimum Top Secret Clearance!
Candidate should hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.
