About the Job

BASIC FUNCTION:


The Software Engineer is a member of the Webster Integration Layer (WIL) team.  This position is responsible for the creation, maintenance and utilization of tools and services that support the Webster Integration Layer (WIL).  The tools include a synthetic transaction generator and testing tools.  The services provide a bridge between the primary Java based service system and Microsoft technologies.  The software engineer will work closely with other team members, business analysts and business partners.


 


The position requires someone who can create, improve and maintain complex software systems.  Working knowledge of design patterns, SDLC, Web Services, testing practices, scripting and data organization and management is a plus.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:


A)    Education - 


·         High School / GED required.   Required.


·         BS preferred


 


B)     Experience -


·         2 4 years of related experience in leading QA teams


·         3 5 years of related experience as expert in generating and maintaining complex test documentation.

  • Hours above and beyond standard working hour will be required as department demand dictates.

  • Rotating on call schedule includes carrying a pager or cell phone.
