Description:
We have 2 long term consulting roles in the South Austin, TX area.

Overview:
This position reports to the Software Engineering Manager and is responsible for design, development and maintenance of internal- and external-use web tools. These tools are used to render Web Pages at over 20,000 clients.


Primary responsibilities are to enhance and maintain existing database-driven web-based tools on AOL servers (Tcl, AOL adp), and/or Apache (perl CGI, php)

    Requirements:
    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, EE, or Physical Sciences preferred
  • Minimum of three years commercial programming experience
  • Minimum of two years developing database-driven web applications in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with scripting languages
  • Experience with languages such as Perl
  • Strong knowledge of Tcl and AOL-Server a plus
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and PL SQL, with Oracle experience a plus
  • Knowledge of PHP helpful
  • Required experience at designing complex systems using reusable, modular architectures in an internet environment
  • Strong work ethic & ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
