Description:
In this position, the candidate will define, plan, and manage the software deliverables for a large embedded software project while interacting with the software team, the customer, and other parts of our organization. Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal, written, and negotiation) are necessary for this position. The Software Project Manager is considered a software systems engineering role so the candidate will need to be able to quickly understand the product software in the context of its environment, and be able to become familiar with the way the product interacts with the external environment.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in embedded systems software development
- Minimum of 3 years specifically focused on management of software projects for an embedded electronics product
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required
- Familiarity with formal software development life cycles and CMMI is required.
