Software QA Manager

Position Description

The QA Manager will be responsible for the effective development and implementation of programs to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements. The manager will lead the staging of software for deployment from testing to production and manage testing with cross functional teams. He/she will administer the change control process of zero defect software development; ensuring adequate product testing occurs prior to implementation. The position will be responsible for administering an issue management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution. The QA Manager will interact with customers at the operations level, as required and mentor associates.  

Required Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of applicable professional QA experience. Must have a background in QA methodologies

Must be familiar with Microsoft suite of products (Office, Word, Excel and Project)

Very familiar with Agile Software development methodology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and prior team management experience a must.

5 years experience in software and/or program testing and demonstrated leadership skills

Knowledge of formal bug tracking and release management tools and procedures

Experience testing web-applications. Basic knowledge of databases and scripting with strong analytical and problem solving skills

Extensive experience working in a structured QA environment

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Familiarity with Microsoft manual and automated testing tools, a plus
