SourceMedical is currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst for its Therapy Division in Birmingham, AL.


Summary of Position:

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, you will be a key member of the SourceMedical QA Team with the overall responsibility for ensuring that our Therapy products meet the company's quality standards. As an individual contributor in this role, you will be responsible for testing the configuration, installation, and functionality of our therapy applications. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as strict attention to details. Testing of this product includes extensive database testing so working knowledge of SQL will be beneficial.  The best candidate for this position will have rehabilitative healthcare industry experience and strong testing skills and experience including database testing. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1.  Working closely with business analysts and developers to ensure complete understanding of business requirements.

2.  Developing test cases to ensure all business requirements are met.

3.  Executing functional and regression tests.

4.  Reporting potential application problems and performing follow through to resolution.

5.  Assisting with the automation of smoke tests.

6.  Performing root cause analysis on all post QA reported defects and implementing corrective action to ensure continuous improvement of our processes and products. 

7.  Establishing test environments and troubleshooting environment configuration and installation problems.

8.  Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Desired Education/Qualifications:

--BA/BS in Computer Science and 3+ years demonstrated QA and testing experience
--Minimum one year healthcare related experience
--Test case development experience
--Automated test case experience
--SQL Database testing experience
--Good knowledge of basic test techniques
--Understanding of software development life cycles
--Strong interpersonal and communication skills
