Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer
Description:
The Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer is responsible for testing and debugging software products through the use of systematic tests and the analysis of test results. The Test Engineer will develop, modify and execute software test plans and develop/use testing tools and methodologies to achieve the test objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Create and execute test plans and test cases.
· Create test tools and methodologies.
· Work closely with software developers on a daily basis, debugging and verifying problem resolutions.
· Participate in design reviews and project meetings and make recommendations for product improvements.
· Assist in reproduction and debugging of customer issues
· Periodically be involved on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goal
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
· 1 – 3 years experience creating and executing test cases
· Familiarity with programming languages: C# or Java.
· Troubleshooting skills along with familiarity with debugging tools.
· Analytical and problem solving skills.
· Strong sense of ownership, work in environment with minimal supervision
· Excellent communication and organization skills
Desired:
· Experience in troubleshooting using tools like ethereal, wireshark
· Experience with Mobile Phone technology
Salary:
$40,000 - $60,000
