·         Responsible for the definition, creation, enhancement, and execution of Software Quality functions across multiple projects and platforms.

·         Develop and execute test plans and test scripts for software applications throughout the full product lifecycle  

·         Develop, define, implement, and provide management reports on tracking solutions for key software quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

·         Make recommendations and enhancements to existing processes to increase the efficiency and quality of software product testing.

·         Plan and perform internal audits to ISO 9001, RTCA DO-178B, DO-278, and DO-254 standards, internal procedures and other requirements.

·         Manage Corrective and Preventative Action, Calibration, Non-conforming Material and other Quality programs as assigned.

·         Review and approve engineering documents during the release and revision processes.

·         Develop, implement and improve new and existing ISO 9001 compliant procedures, processes and work instructions. 

·         Lead assigned company Quality Improvement Meeting Units to identify and develop continuous improvement plans.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Requirement:

·         The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (BSCS, BSCE, BSEE), with a minimum of 5 years experience in Software Quality Assurance in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment with RTCA DO-178B, DO-254 and/or DO-278 experience. 

·         Must have demonstrated, practical experience with job duties described above.

·         Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

·         Requires 5 years of experience coding in C, C++, embedded and Windows applications. 

·         Must have a working knowledge of current software quality assurance methodologies that are effective in a small team development environment

·         Candidate must be competent in Software Quality control methods, including failure analysis, trend analysis and process analysis. 

·         Strong background in technical writing is a must with strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.

·         Additional experience and/or certification in Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, ASQ QE, or other recognized Quality certifications are desirable. 

·         Experience with Radio Frequency Electronics and Navigational Aids or other safety critical systems is preferred.

·         Current qualification or the ability to qualify, as an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for software and/or complex hardware is a plus.
