Software R&D Platform Engineer - HP Software Cupertino

Looking for skilled Software Platform Engineers who are experienced with either agile, rapidly evolving SaaS offering and/or have domain expertise in IT Service Management or Application Lifecycle  Management disciplines.  This role will Join a high-performance management team for one of the most exciting,  extremely high-profile and high-impact projects: Building the next generation of IT Management On-Demand (SaaS)solutions.
 
You'll be part of a cross-functional team that designs, implements, tests and validates software that assists major corporations in the management of their IT businesses using Agile development practices and utilizing a wide range of skills and experience in a variety of disciplines to help produce and implement HP's software products.
 






Required qualifications:

• Formalized software design experience
  


• Experience on at least one commercial ETL tool
  


• RDBMS basic administration skills, such as server and client setup and configuration
  


• Experience with one or more of the following databases, SQL Server 2000/2005, DB2, Oracle
  


• Advanced SQL queries
  


• Experience with commercial BI tools, such as BusinessObjects or Cognos
  


• Good written and verbal communication skills and willingness to interact with other teams and customers when necessary
  


• Ability to manage multiple, varied tasks during a workday
  


• Object Oriented programming skills. Java preferred
  


• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with formal source control tools such as Perforce.


• Ant build script technologies


• Installer technologies


• HP's Connect-It product


• Experience on web applications and application servers deployment and setup


• Have basic experience on Service Management


• Have basic experience on Asset Management
