Description:
Mindbank Consulting Group currently has an urgent opening for a Software Requirements Analyst to work for our prestigious client, a well known system integrator, at a government contract in Washington – DC. This is a contract to hire position, which means you will work for 6 months as a contractor, and then our client will hire you as permanent employee after 6 months. Daily tasks include: · Responsible for full Software Development Life Cycle activities in defining software requirement definitions for a case management / electronic case files system. · Represent team in requirements and design reviews. Analyze information from these meetings and translate that information into documentation, such as Release Notes and Application Administrator Guides. · Manage software requirements and internal software interface control documents. · Manage traceability of software requirements to system requirements and to the design configuration items. · Develop testable software requirements from system level requirements and perform functional and regression application testing. · Perform administrative functions related to change requests to ensure process is implemented effectively and efficiently. · Review and constructively critique software requirements developed by software developers on the project, as well as providing assistance to the development and integration team in making design decisions and ensuring later lifecycle implementation of software requirements.
Required Skills:
· Experience performing software requirement analysis on a mid-to-large size software development project following an industry-wide accepted life-cycle development practice. · Experience with managing an approval process for changes to requirements · Working knowledge of RDBMS and web application, as well as various tools, such as MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, WordPerfect. · Must have previous experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle, developing requirements and design documents. · Experience writing comprehensive documents for use by a variety of end users, such as application administrators and operational support specialists. · Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and be able to present to users and team members.
