Brief Description of position:
As a
member of the sales team, the Sales Specialist will provide the means for
Health Market Science to meet its financial objectives through prospecting and
selling HMS’s Analytic products and services to our core customer base.
Reports to: SVP of Sales
Primary responsibilities will
include:

Setting
and meeting individual sales targets
·
Development
of plans for each account by HMS product or service
·
Tracking
of account personnel (e.g. decision makers, influencers, etc.) and activity in
HMS SFA system
·
Writing
of proposals and contracts
·
Insuring
a smooth transition of sold projects to the Client Services group to include
all appropriate documentation, discussions and client interfaces
·
Provide
feedback to the COO and VP of Product Development for product defects, product
enhancements, and new products
·
Insuring
compliance with all company policies
·
Any
other tasks assigned by the company from time to time
Required Qualifications:
·
Successful
track record of selling Data or Enterprise Software to Pharmaceutical or
Healthcare organizations required
·
Ability
to work as a team to effectively meet customer requirements and realistic
timelines for delivery of products.
Essential functions of the job:

Maintaining
existing account revenue
·
Prospecting
and selling HMS products deeper within assigned accounts as well as prospecting
for additional revenue streams

Availability
to respond to emergencies
·
Internal
and external communication
