The Command and Control Information Services (C2IS) Risk Reduction Effort project is a risk reduction effort associated with the U.S. Air Force Air & Space Operations Center Weapon System Integrator program. The C2IS project focuses on evaluating various architectural approaches implemented within a Service Oriented Architecture environment that ensures consistent, correct, and timely information is provided to the warfighter whether it be at the enterprise level or out on the distributed edge.
The C2IS project involves both a trade study (to evaluate the architectural approaches) as well as an implementation/demonstration based on the chosen architectural approach. This position is for a software savvy systems engineer capable and willing to perform tasks in the system definition, architecture, requirements decomposition, software development and system integration and test over the multiple phases of a software intensive project.
