Software Test Engineer, C#/ VB / Java, T-SQL

Job Description:
This is a contract opportunity for an experienced STE to work for the team that manages a troubleshooting tool integral to important customer management and support systems in use a leading software corporation. The customer management portal enables support agents to serve customers by tracking service requests, initiating repair orders, providing knowledge-based solutions, enabling support and subscription revenue, and collecting market-based product feedback for product development improvements.

This team is expanding in order to design and implement the next-generation architecture to serve rapidly expanding use and feature set requests. This fast-paced environment requires the ability to balance between multiple projects, drive clarity from ambiguity, manage change with consideration for business continuity and the quarterly release roadmap, and ensure the high quality of the product.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Writing test specifications, test plans, and test cases
  
• Executing tests
  
• Writing test automations
  
• Implementing test tools and automation frameworks
  
• Working with developers to instrument the system for performance and scalability analysis
  
• Working with other engineering groups to conduct joint integrated systems tests
  
• Conducting troubleshooting, problem triage, and root cause analysis

• Experience in various phases of testing, designing and developing complex enterprise applications
  
• Solid object-oriented programming, debugging, and test automation skills with C#, C/C++, VB, or Java
  
• Solid understanding of relational database design and strong transactional SQL scripting skills
  
• Solid knowledge of Web Services, SOA, XML, SOAP, and .NET technology
  
• Solid communication skills, verbal and written
  
• Experience of writing unit, regression and E2E testing codes in various unit testing frameworks
  
• Passion for technology and product quality
  
• Strong track record of innovation and driving results
