We have an immediate need for a Software Test Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Test new features for product and related software products to ensure that these products reach the level of quality customers expect. This position performs functional test of our products from a customer perspective. In addition, the successful candidate will test in a manner to stress test systems, analyze the systems from a usability perspective, and verify performance and capacity metrics of the systems.



This position requires the ability to interact well in a team environment. The successful candidate must be self-directed and demonstrate the ability to meet project schedule requirements. The successful candidate must be capable of communicating difficult technical concepts both verbally and written.



Minimum Education Requirements:

BS degree in a technology related field required.

BS degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Mathematics preferred.



Key duties and Position Requirements:

- Execute test plans for Manufacturing Execution System Software.

- Write test cases from specifications provided by Development group and Marketing.

- Create fault reports for Development documenting problems found in software.

- Validate repaired faults.

- Create and enhance test configurations.

- Highly motivated.

- Capacity to learn a large and complex software system.

- Ability to work well in a team environment.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

- Able to use product from a customer perspective.

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to assess risk areas in software.



Preferred Experience:

• AJAX web development experience desired, Technical Writing skills preferred
