The Business Objects Architect –develops and implements systems to meet the Information Delivery needs of the business intelligence systems, Decision Support systems and other Reporting systems. He/she will work with both functional and technical project personnel, has in-depth knowledge of BI information delivery/presentation methodology and expertise in SAP Business Objects tool sets. Other key activities includes; resolution of issues with existing systems; and providing technical guidance to other team members. The Business Objects Architect is capable of supporting all in scope activities. The Business Objects Architect will assist BI interdependent activities to ensure project success


Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Information Technology or Business Systems related discipline.
  • 5- 6 years experience in information systems applications, data warehouses and decision support systems, preferably in regulated medical device industry.
  • 6-7 year experience in leading the development of Business Information strategies using Business Objects product suite and 3-4 year on XI Platform.
  • Exposure to large projects, following project management methodologies and supervising project team staff, including consultants.
  •  In-depth experiences with Enterprise BI Data Presentation Strategy and implementation, ad hoc reports, standard reports, dashboard, KPI solution, cube
  • Hand-on working experiences in Business Object Web clustering infrastructure design and implementation
  •  Working experiences with all Business Object components, including but not limited to Business Objects 6.x, XI R2, R3, Web Intelligence, Voyager, Crystal reports 2008 and Xcelsius 2008 or 4.5,  Auditor, Supervisor, Administration Console etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with building dashboard including enterprise wide Key performance indicators and providing simple and user intuitive lay outs for drill down capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP BO architecture
  • Experience with BO Voyager analytical services and hands on experience with SQL Server analysis server and BW integration with Voyager is preferred
  • Expertise in building BI information delivery solutions leveraging BO XI R3, Voyager and Xcelsius in built capabilities and, customizing these tools to meet business specific requirements. Expertise in information delivery through mail and mobile devices in various formats but not limited to crystal reports, pdf, excel and HTML
  • Research complex Information Delivery requirements with business and provide various alternatives taking into consideration the user requirement the delivery mechanism capability and the design of the underlying BI solution
  • Formulate Information Delivery and delivery framework, taking into consideration industry best practices  and working with the BI solution engineering team to ensure adherence to these on projects
  • Experience with Business Objects administration, security, backup and restore process
  • Possess and ability to balance short-term business needs and deliverables with long term design implications
  • Solid Understanding of Relational Modeling with extensive focus on Dimensional Modeling Principles
  • Two years experience in supervising and/or managing a staff is preferred; the staff includes both on-site and global virtual team members.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt to challenges and to mentor team members 
  • Strong communications skills both orally and written. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously. Sound understanding of the business activities and objectives. Good numerical skills
