The Solutions Architect is responsible for supporting sales and relationship management efforts to close and implement new programs for prospective and existing accounts.  The primary function of this role is to understand client/prospect/partner business requirements, develop solutions based on C2’s service offering, capabilities and technology platforms and support the sales process to drive revenue.  Success in this role depends on a deep understanding of marketing trends and the competitive landscape, detailed knowledge of C2’s email / mail platform capabilities, strong product marketing skills and strong oral and written presentation skills.  The ideal candidate will also have strong technical credentials and bring some demonstrated competency in direct marketing program design and direct marketing analytics and measurement.


 


This is a client-facing and subject matter expert role specifically designed to assist in meeting the technical and business requirements in the pursuit of new business.  The Solutions Architect works closely with Sales to understand business requirements and the technical implications of those requirements.  The SA also works closely with Development, Strategy and Analytics when assistance from that group is required to build a solution.  This role is consistently called upon to refine technical requirements and prioritize development work as part of a larger team representing prospects, clients, production support and R&D. 


This role must also take into consideration input from industry analysts, competition, and internal departments to help determine product and service offering direction. The Solutions Architect may also participate in product positioning as it relates to marketing and positioning of the ClickSquared solution. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Developing business requirements documents as well as scoping and launching implementations
  • Design of both Partner and end-client solutions
  • Demonstrations of the C2 applications
  • Developing sales support materials like presentations and case studies to close new business
  • Working with diverse members of the Client Services team to integrate clients on the C2 platform
  • Effective transition of scoped and/or launched projects to Client Services
  • Development of new technology and platform demonstration systems 

Education, Knowledge & Experience:




  • Expertise and proficiency in both discovering and gathering customer business requirements


  • Ability to create solutions to specific business needs based on knowledge of C2 technology and services


  • E-Marketing consulting and/or marketing program management experience a plus


  • Ability to grasp abstract concepts and create and communicate concrete solutions


  • Experience in Database Marketing, Marketing solutions, analytics or modeling, or related field


  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills


  • Quantitative and qualitative problem solving skills


  • Experience working with client engineering/development teams


  • Experience with web-based business solutions a huge plus


  • This is a highly communicative role – team player is a must

 


Required Skills/Desired Skills:




  • Strong background in direct marketing required, 3-5 years experience with database marketing is a must


  • Excellent presentation skills including written, oral, and preparation of necessary materials


  • 4-5 years experience in pre-sales, support, and/or client solutions with technical solutions or products


  • Strong application user skills and familiarity with web technology, data transfer protocol, Java, SQL, HTML a strong advantage


  • Work independently and as part of a team


  • Self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills


  • Proven experience with problem-solving and developing creative solutions
