Marketing Manager

About the Job

The Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for creating the positioning and messaging for Bsquare vertical and integrated solutions. This role will provide strategic and tactical marketing plans in support of business objectives and tactical execution for all initiatives. Execution goals will include the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to support lead, demand and revenue generation. Candidate must be willing to provide tactical execution support. Knowledge of embedded systems / software industry is key to success in this role.

  • Create and execute the overall solutions marketing plan supporting both integrated and vertical market-specific offers
  • Work with Bsquare Engineering and Professional Services, Business Development and Product Marketing to define /redefine and position solutions within customer pain points, business cases and sales opportunities and ensure consistency and high quality of information
  • Synthesize positioning and messaging of solutions to ensure alignment and consistency with corporate and other business units’ messaging
  • Execute tactical marketing plans including promotion and outreach to drive awareness and action by target audiences; initiatives will include demand and lead generation
  • Develop and personally author marketing resources, sales tools and collateral (i.e., sales kits, product brochures, technical fact sheets, demos, Web copy, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) that appropriately target audiences with focused value propositions for the Bsquare portfolio of integrated solutions and vertical market offerings
  • Maintain internal and external content repositories and align information with current messaging and technical materials
  • Work with the Marketing Program Manager to ensure sales and channel readiness through the development and delivery of sales trainings and other resources needed to effectively sell Bsquare offerings
  • Ensure global team adoption of and deployment of campaigns and initiatives
  • Work closely with the Products and Professional Services teams to identify opportunities for messaging of integrated solutions offers for sales engagements
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company; participate in technology showcases at industry and partner events
  • Provide competitive landscape analysis including strategic and technical assessments; analyze performance of current Bsquare offerings and recommend new strategies to improve positioning and sales
  • Proactively solicit and act on feedback and program assessments of global activities and execution by marketing, sales and channels; create and maintain processes for determining effectiveness and ROI for all initiatives and reporting on same

Desired Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills/experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience within systems integration/consulting or embedded systems/software companies required
  • 5+ years experience in technical or product marketing with strong facilitation skills and experience related to strategy development and problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to support initiatives with tactical execution of campaign elements
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in understanding the value of solutions and products and creating competitive differentiation
  • Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in developing sales and technical marketing materials for a global organization and in coordination with regional marketing & sales organizations
  • Must possess outstanding writing skills and the ability to highlight complex technical attributes with customer use cases
  • Experience with working as part of a global team, across multi-national markets
  • Results-oriented, high-energy self-starter with strong project / program management skills
  • BA/BS degree required
